
Registered Nurse
Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring Registered Nurses in multiple departments including: Med/Surg, ICU, and ER. A sign on bonus of $10,000 is being offered to all nurses who sign an 18-month contract, which will be payed over the course of one year.
The staff Registered Nurse is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility for a group of patient/residents for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients/residents via therapeutic utilization of the Nursing process in accordance with the standards of care and Policies/procedures as established by Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems.
Job Description & Requirements
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Responsible to Charge Nurse and House Supervisor.

Reports to House Supervisor when in a charge position.

Workers Supervised: When in charge position includes professional, Technical, or non-professional unit staff.

Regular contact with Ancillary Departments for information and to co-ordinate services for patients/residents.

Interrelationships: Regular contact with patients, residents, nursing staff, physicians, additional institutional personnel, family members and the general public.

Rotation to all nursing units other than assigned working areas when required.

Rotation in working hours, shifts, schedules to meet staffing/work requirements.

Employee takes necessary self precautions and manages patients, residents and employees against infectious disease. Also, insures environmental precautions in handling of supplies and waste.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must be a RN in good standing and currently licensed by the State or multistate.

Training and Experience: Must be Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State. Maintain current CPR Certification. Maintain proficiency in Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Emergency, Cardiovascular Care or Surgical Nursing as is applicable for the unit that is worked the majority of the time.

Job Knowledge: Knowledge of the nursing process, general nursing theory, and practice such as: biological, physical, social, and medical science and their application. Thorough knowledge of principle, Methods and techniques involved in performing general nursing services and adapting or modifying standard nursing.
