Diagnostics and Imaging
A specially-trained healthcare team is ready to serve patients in need of radiological services, including:
• Diagnostic X-ray Procedures
• Nuclear Medicine Procedures
• CT Scans
• CT Angiography
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Bone Density Scans
Computed radiography (CTs or CAT scans) or digital radiography enhances the overall capabilities of our Radiology Department. An RIS/PACS computer system provides the department the ability to perform all exams electronically and stores the image in a computer, allowing the image to be viewed by the medical staff anywhere a computer is accessible.
All the radiology personnel employed by Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems are certified and registered ARRT technologists. Completion of a formal AMA approved institution is required prior to completion of a national registry to receive a license to perform and provide services. Our radiology department provides more than 25,000 procedures annually for the local community.
