Clinic Office Manager

Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring an Office Manager for Doctors Clinic and Bootheel Primary Care Clinic. The Office Manager is responsible for providing secretarial services for the facility, answering phones, maintaining appointment calendar, and carrying out other duties related to the operations of the clinic.

Job Description & Requirements

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

  1. Responsible to: Administrator

  2. Workers supervised: Office Clerk

  3. Interrelationships: Administration, personnel, Department Heads, Medical Staff, residents, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

​

  1. Must be 18 years of age

  2. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

  3. Must have at least two years experience as a secretary; accurate typing skills, spelling skills, and working knowledge of medical terminology. Rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  4. Ability to communicate well with people of all economic and intellectual levels

  5. General knowledge of office management and office equipment

  6. Must have the ability to coordinate activities of the department

  7. Must be able to communicate with co-workers and medical staff     

  8. Must have the ability to communicate through correspondence and telephone

  9. Must have good computer skills and experience

  10. Maintain confidentiality of information at all times

  11. Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time. Must  be alert. Ability to work under  conditions of frequent interruptions and to maintain accuracy under pressure of meeting sundry inquiries from the public.

  12. Ability to handle stressful and unpleasant situations without becoming personally involved.
