Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist
The Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist performs and evaluates respiratory care modalities, sets up and maintains equipment, and performs other duties in all area of the Respiratory Care Department. A CRT/RRT will treat our patients with lung diseases or disorders that resulting from any and all respiratory issues. They treat patients dealing with pulmonary distress due to complications from asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia, chest trauma, prematurity, lung cancer, and more.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Responsible to: Respiratory Department Director.

Takes necessary self precautions, and manages both patients and employees against infectious diseases. Also, insures environmental precautions in handling of supplies and waste.

Interrelationships: Respiratory therapy personnel, personnel of hospital, Medical Staff, and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion from an AMA approved course and a current CRT of RRT Credential from NBRC

Minimum 18 years of age.

Neat and clean appearance and adheres to dress code.

Possesses the ability to maintain an acceptable relationship with patients, residents, and other employees.

Displays good communication skills and the physical and mental capacity to properly perform all duties.

Displays self initiative and exercises some sound judgment in performing all assigned tasks.

Prompt and regular in attendance and practices confidentiality.

Missouri License and current CPR/ACLS.
