OFFICE CLERK

Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring a full-time and a part-time Office Clerk to work at the Convenient Care Clinic located inside of Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti as well as one job at Bootheel Primary Care - Kennett. The Office Clerk serves as receptionist and is responsible for registering all patients being seen in the clinic for treatment. Registration includes screening, obtaining all personal and insurance information for billing purposes and collecting all receipts on patient bills.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be neat and clean in appearance.

  • Must be able to read and communicate, follow directions, and adhere to prescribed schedules and clerical procedures.

  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform job duties.

  • Is prompt and regular in attendance. Able to work independently and without supervision.

  • Possess initiative and exercise good judgment in performing job duties.

  • Must be able to type and use a calculator.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all departments and the public.

  • Bookkeeping and basic accounting knowledge required in addition to good clerical skills.

  • Previous hospital or physician office experience preferred.
