MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring a Full time and PRN Laboratory MT/MLT. The Medical Technologist/Technician’s primary duty is to perform all laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established laboratory policies and procedures. Other duties include, but are not limited to, sample collection, clerical duties, transportation of specimens to the laboratory from other areas of the hospital and/or physician clinics and performing other duties at the discretion of the laboratory manager.

Job Description & Requirements

Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology.
ASCP or AMT certification or equivalent.
Ability to communicate and follow directions.
Practice confidentiality.
Excellent customer relation’s skills.
Possess organizational skills and flexibility.
Possess mathematical, verbal and written skills at a college level.
Must adhere to policies and procedures.
Willingness to work weekends, nights, cover vacations, and odd shifts as needed.
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
