Nuclear Technologist

The Nuclear Technologist takes diagnostic x-ray photographs of the anatomy. Must successfully pass examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Prepares, administers and measures radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic and trace studies as prescribed by radiologist. Must have two years specialized study in nuclear medicine.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

 

  1. Responsible to: Chief Radiology Technologist and Assistant Administrator of Ancillary Service.

  2. Workers Supervised: None.

  3. Interrelationships: Radiology personnel, Medical Staff, hospital personnel, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by the American Medical
    Association.

  2. Possesses good communication skills.

  3. Must have physical and mental ability to perform all job duties and responsibilities.

  4. Performs all duties in a highly professional manner.

  5. Must meet all local health regulations, including a drug screen.

  6. Must be capable of maintaining a regular attendance.
