
Certified Nursing Assistant
Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants in Med/Surg, ICU, Behavioral Health, and Long Term Care. A $1,500 sign on bonus is available to CNAs who sign an 18-month contract, which will be paid over a one-year period.
The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nursing staff in handling and serving patients/residents in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort. The CNA should adhere to instructions issued by the Charge Nurse and to established routine. Performance of the CNA’s duties will be in accordance with established methods and techniques, and in conformance with recognized standards. Maximum patient care services within limits defined by delegated tasks will be provided by the CNA.
Job Description & Requirements
JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Responsible to: LPNs, RNs, and Charge Nurse.

Workers supervised: None.

Interrelationships: Regular contact with patient/resident’s nursing Staff, physicians, additional institutional personnel, family members, and the general public.

Rotation to all nursing units other than assigning working area when required.

Rotation in working hours, shifts, schedules to meet staffing requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Able to read, speak, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job effectively and safely.

Training and Experience: Completion of a Certified Nurse Aide Course. Employee must obtain and maintain a Missouri Certification and be in good standing on the Missouri C.N.A. Registry.

Job Knowledge:

Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administrating general certified nursing aide care.

Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal service for patients/residents, and in caring for and utilizing equipment and supplies.

Good understanding of basic asepsis and sterile technique to avoid infection of patients/residents, self or contamination of equipment and supplies.

Must meet all local health regulations, including a drug screen.

Must be capable of maintaining a regular attendance.
