Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems provides a comprehensive benefits program. This includes vacation leave, sick leave, holiday leave and personal leave. This also includes medical insurance, dental insurance, retirement plans, basic life insurance and various optional benefits.

All employees may also have their payroll check directly deposited into their checking or savings accounts.

It is our responsibility, as a healthcare provider, to address known hazards to our employees, patients and the public and to create a healthful, safe, and comfortable environment.

The use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited on all PMHS owned and leased facilities. This includes grounds, parking lots/ramps, company owned vehicles, and employee vehicles parked on PMHS owned and leased property.

This prohibition applies to all employees, patients, and to visitors to our facilities. Any patient or visitor observed using tobacco on PMHS owned and leased property will be asked to discontinue in a tactful, compassionate manner.

In order to provide a consistent flow of healthcare professionals to Pemiscot Health System, we encourage and financially assist qualified students in their endeavor to become a healthcare professional.

To the extent of available funds, PMHS will pay education assistance loan at 100% (limit not to exceed local community college rates for nursing/allied healthcare programs) of the cost of tuition, registration, and required fees such as building use and lab fees. The cost of books is not covered.

Students accepting the loan will sign an agreement of intent to work at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems upon completion of the approved program. Interested applicants can secure application forms from the Human Resource Department. Applications should be submitted as far in advance as possible. The number of available funds may be limited each year.
