Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems, founded in 1949, is a publicly owned and operated health care provider serving Pemiscot, eastern Dunklin and southern New Madrid Counties of Southeast Missouri.

Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is comprised of:

• A licensed 49 bed Acute Care Unit;
• A licensed 40 bed Psychiatric Inpatient Medicare Certified Distinct Care Unit
• An attached licensed 78 bed Long-term Care Facility (Pemiscot Memorial Nursing Home)
• A free standing licensed 94 bed Skilled and Intermediate Care Long-term Care Facility (Caruthersville Nursing Center)
• Eight Medicare/Medicaid Certified Rural Health Care Clinics

In addition, Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems provides clinical services on a rotating basis from a variety of visiting specialists and offers a broad range of clinical treatment and diagnostic testing services on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
